Aerospace / Defence Quality Engineer (Electronics) ***
3 month contract role
£36.00 per hour
£49.50 overime rate
This activity is inside IR35 (Umbrella Company Required)
Currently seeking detail oriented Quality Engineers to support a short-term project on-site at a customer facility in Luton. The support will be supporting a variety of quality tasks within an electronics manufacturing facility. As a Quality Engineer you will interact at with varies teams internally at our customer, with the key responsibilities being:
Offer advice, support and assistance on all Quality Assurance / Quality Control matters
Contribute actively to customer requirement to deliver a compliant product in a timely manner meeting all cost and safety requirements
Support the preparation and securing agreement on Project Assurance Plans (PAP) defining project assurance activities aligned to Risk, Opportunity and Improvement within the Programme and associated Pro-operating in line with the requirements of the Operational Framework
Provide guidance to the Assurance Teams in order to meet Programme and IPT objectives
Actively support achieving goals for Quality KPIs including Quality Notifications, Material Review Boards (MRB), Failure Review Boards (FRB) etc, including supporting improvement plans and active management of key activity such as MRB etc
Support improvement plans across all phases of the Programme, Product and Project Lifecycle
Successful apply interpersonal skills to positively influence behaviours within Quality at individual and team level
Attend and contribute to team meetings, and stand-up reviews
Ensure concessions / production permits are processed correctly and in timely manner, directly supporting where required.
Support achievement of project milestones
Assist in delivery of reports and supporting data to internal customer teams.
Support reduction of Non-Conformance costs and implement a root cause and corrective action culture to reduce the cost implications on the programmes and project.Role Requirements:
Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly "complex" industry.
Have demonstrated experience working in high precision manufacturing environment.
Be able to demonstrate knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement.
Good knowledge and practical experience of Quality Tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Pattern Fault Lifecycle, Process Mapping, Verification and First Article Inspection.
Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that supports business goals, in 'the language of the business'.
Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
Be able to demonstrate experience in working with Customers and Suppliers.Additional Requirements:
Must be a UK National (due to program security restrictions)
Ideally hold a current SC Clearance (or be able to obtain SC Clearance)
