We're looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Technical Engineers to join our Painter Brothers team in Hereford.

Painter Brothers is one of the UK's leading specialist in structural steel manufacture. We have the capacity to produce in excess of 15,000 tones of steelwork each year. Our 50,000m2 site has a wide range of machinery meaning we can manufacture and store any type of structural steelwork, including galvanised specialist structural steelwork.
As the UK’s largest fabricator of towers for the overhead power transmission network, we are embarking on a period of considerable growth. With the government committed to delivering Net Zero by 2050, the investment in electricity infrastructure over the next 10 years will be higher than any period since the construction of the national grid in the 1960’s. What you'll be doing
1. Prepare and process production documentation and data and issue to fabrication and despatch departments.
2. Receive, process and provide all technical data from / to customers and other stakeholders.
3. Identify requirements for bought out parts / services and issue requisite purchase orders.
4. Resolve technical issues, where required in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Reporting and expedite progress against key programme deliverables.
6. Produce CNC data where required.
7. Review, amend and create new production drawings as required.
8. Liaise with the all internal and external stakeholders involving technical matters.
Who we're looking for
1. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data- Essential.
2. Experience in manufacturing practices and processes.
3. Experience of steel fabrication would be beneficial but not essential.
4. Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions with minimal support from management.
5. Experience of working collaboratively within a dynamic team environment and meeting key deadlines.
6. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing.
7. Proficient user of computer systems (Microsoft Office). Experience of MRP
8. Systems and CAD systems would be advantageous.
9. Experience in programming CNC machines – desirable.
10. A strong pro-active and ‘can-do’ attitude with desire to continually learn and improve.
