About the Role/Role Overview As a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and immersive lessons in French, Spanish, or German across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential opportunities for A-Level teaching). You will inspire students to develop their linguistic skills, cultural awareness and appreciation for global diversity. The role involves planning creative lessons, assessing student progress and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For: Deliver high-quality lessons in French, Spanish, or German, aligned with the national curriculum. Develop students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through engaging and interactive teaching methods. Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages language acquisition and cultural appreciation. Adapt teaching strategies to cater to varying learning styles and abilities, ensuring inclusivity. Prepare students for examinations by developing their confidence in written and oral assessments. Contribute to the wider school community through language clubs, cultural events and enrichment activities. Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and engagement, in line with school policies. The Successful Candidate Will: To be considered for this role, you must have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas qualified teacher is a must. Proven experience teaching French, Spanish, or German at secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4. A strong command of the target language, with excellent pronunciation and grammar skills. The ability to deliver engaging, interactive and immersive language lessons. Strong classroom management skills and a passion for fostering a love of languages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents. A commitment to inclusive education, with the ability to differentiate teaching methods for diverse learners.
