Tewkesbury Borough Council is an ambitious authority located in a fast growing area of northern Gloucestershire. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead the delivery of human resources and organisation development across the council. Reporting to the Executive Director of Resources, you will be a crucial part of our wider leadership team, providing expert advice and guidance to Council senior management whilst leading and developing the busy HR & OD team. The Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development will be instrumental in shaping the Council’s workforce strategy, driving HR initiatives, and leading organisational development. This role requires a strategic leader who also possesses detailed operational HR knowledge to drive the Council forward in becoming a high performing organisation. We’re looking for someone who is experienced, influential and with a wealth of professional knowledge and expertise. You will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, be adept at juggling competing priorities and positively embrace challenges. This post is eligible for a hybrid working arrangement (approximately 2 days in the office and 3 days at home, subject to business need), or can be fully office based if preferred.
