THIS ROLE IS A 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

The Treasury Team are responsible for funding easyJet’s business in accordance with policies as directed by the easyJet Board including management of liquidity, hedging and identifying sources of financing. In the case of aircraft, the Aircraft Trading, Leasing & Contracts team source and manage funding for easyJet’s new aircraft delivery stream from Airbus and manage over 150 existing aircraft on lease. Working closely with Finance, Fleet Planning, Engineering and Legal, the Aircraft Trading and Leasing Team undertake a pivotal and high value role within easyJet.
In this role you will maximise value and efficiency through detailed assessment of aircraft trading transactions, financing, and lease payments. You’ll build and maintain relationships in the aircraft leasing and financing markets, seeking new opportunities for the airline group. Key responsibilities include managing aircraft transactions, lease extensions, maintenance compensation, and lease management.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders in Engineering, Finance, Operations and Treasury to optimise leased aircraft. You will also work on aircraft data management, utilisation optimisation, engine life monitoring, and aircraft retirement plans. The role is dynamic and varied, with changing priorities and the need to multi-task and prioritise on the fly. Rarely does a day go as planned – at easyJet we work in a fast paced forever changing environment!
Future opportunities include modernising data tools, attending aviation events, and exploring diverse career paths within the airline group. You will represent easyJet at aviation finance and trading events, and participate in aircraft redeliveries.

What you need to do the role
We are seeking a dynamic and professional individual to represent the easyJet brand in productive meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including aircraft and engine lessors, investors, and banks.
You will express a friendly confident demeanor, indicative of our Tier 1 investment-grade airline status.
You will have strong analytical and presentation skills, with financial transaction experience being advantageous but not essential, provided you have a willingness to learn the intricacies of aircraft transactions.
A solid understanding or keen interest in aircraft and engine values, the aircraft trading market, and aviation economics is crucial. Additionally, you will have a good grasp of aircraft operation and maintenance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for creating engaging presentations is required. The role requires confidence in negotiations, the ability to challenge the status quo, and propose efficiency improvements. The ability to work under pressure, manage progress to meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously is essential, as is the capability to manage your workload and prioritise tasks effectively.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
