Scope of Role:
As Product Manager for Back Office & Customer Onboarding, you’ll lead the strategy and
execution of systems that drive frictionless account management, onboarding, and customer
lifecycle operations. You’ll own the end-to-end customer journey, leveraging Salesforce and
integrated tools to create a best-in-class B2B experience that scales across Europe. This
role demands a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and customer obsession to
align back-office innovation with marketplace growth. You will support the Product Leader to execute the product strategy, act as the liaison
between customers, business users, and the product owner, and support the implementation
of key outcomes by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
Within the organisation, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders across the wider international
business as well as Sales, Operations, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and
Senior Business Leaders. You will develop a strong understanding of the business, people, products, and customers to
help you develop the right products with your development team to solve the right customer
problems. You will support research and discovery to evaluate product opportunities and
define the requirements to be built to address those opportunities. You must be able to
understand your customers and users and empathise with their problems to develop the
right solutions in collaboration with your team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Ownership
- Define the roadmap for Salesforce-based financial tools, prioritising features like automated
invoicing, multi-currency support, and payment reconciliation.
- Balance scalability (platform-first design) with client-specific needs (e.g., custom billing
cycles for large OEMs).
2. Salesforce Financial Expertise
- Lead Salesforce Financial Services Cloud implementations, optimising workflows for:
- Invoicing: Automated generation, approval workflows, and dispute resolution.
- Payments: Integration with Stripe, PayPal, and regional payment gateways.
- Compliance: GDPR, PSD2, and tax reporting (VAT, cross-border regulations).
- Collaborate with developers to design custom objects, validation rules, and Lightning
components.
3. Payment Ecosystem Integration
- Architect seamless payment flows using Stripe (advantageous) for:
- Instant payouts to dealers.
- Buyer-side financing options (e.g., split payments, lease-to-buy).
- Fraud detection and chargeback management.
- Ensure data flows between Salesforce, Stripe, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance Teams to align system capabilities with accounting practices (e.g.,
revenue recognition, audit trails).
- Work with Legal & Compliance to embed regulatory requirements into financial workflows.
- Support Customer Success with tools to resolve billing disputes and payment failures.
5. Metrics & Optimisation
- Define KPIs: Invoice processing time, payment success rates, error reduction.
- Use analytics to identify bottlenecks (e.g., “30% of invoices require manual adjustments”).
- Iterate on features via A/B testing and stakeholder feedback.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Essential
- 5+ years as a Product Manager or Technical Business Analyst, with 3+ years focused on
financial systems (B2B SaaS, fintech, or marketplace platforms).
- Expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (certifications preferred) and payment
gateways.
- Proven track record delivering invoicing, billing, or payment automation solutions.
- Technical fluency: APIs, ERP integrations, and data security standards (PCI DSS).
- Strong understanding of EU financial regulations (PSD2, VAT, AML).
Desired
- Experience with Stripe (Connect, Billing, Radar) or similar platforms (Adyen, Braintree).
- Familiarity with AI-driven fraud detection or predictive cash flow analytics.
- Agile/Scrum certification and proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or Productboard.
- Fluency in German, French, or Spanish.
