Leigh Academy Hartley is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experiencedClass Teacherto join our teaching team from September 2025. Our successful candidate will support pupils to achieve their potential in the end of year assessments. You will work with class teachers to assess progress and plan next steps; providing additional input to boost prior learning and revise curriculum content.
We have an incredibly positive and enthusiastic work ethic within our academy; all staff are supported and enjoy working within our friendly and collaborative environment. We are a school that thrives on teamwork, recognises the importance of high-quality support for the teachers and offers a creative and responsive package of CPD for all staff. Our successful candidate will be an experienced teacher who has avision to drive the academy to achieve its full potential. Ideally, the teacher will have experience in all year groups.
We are looking for:
• A passionate, enthusiastic class teacher who will support our school in maintaining its outstanding status.
• A proactive teacher who will help and support others and work collaboratively as a team. To carry out self-assessment activities to support the self evaluation and improvement planning.
• Someone who cares and supports all pupils and has high expectations for behaviour and learning, with a good working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies.
• An excellent communicator.
• Someone that maintains an up to date knowledge and understanding of professional duties of teachers and the statutory framework within which they work.
This is a fixed term opportunity which offers MPS based on experience. Note that whilst the position is offered on a 1 year fixed term basis initially, every effort will be made to offer a substantive position within the wider family of academies across Leigh Academies Trust. Leigh Academy Hartley is a happy, thriving and “OUTSTANDING” (Ofsted rated) primary school based in Kent. Being part of Leigh Academies Trust
As of 1st September 2024, our Trust comprises 33 geographically organised academies (17 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff. Currently, 16 of our academies are considered to be “Outstanding” which is 53% of those which have been inspected whilst part of the Trust.
