The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is seeking an inspiring and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through a period of transformation.
Your Mission: As CEO, you will be at the helm of a dynamic industry, ensuring strong governance, driving innovation, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and responsibility.
You will be responsible for:
* Providing bold leadership through a pivotal period of change.
* Driving effective regulation and ensuring the highest standards of integrity across the sport.
* Championing governance and welfare to maintain and enhance GBGB’s reputation.
* Implementing a compelling strategic vision set by the GBGB Board.
* Promoting and executing GBGB’s Welfare Strategy, ensuring the care and well-being of greyhounds remain at the heart of operations.
* Supporting commercial growth by working with stakeholders to develop a sustainable financial future for the industry.
* Building a more inclusive and diverse sport, making greyhound racing accessible to all communities.
* To develop further relationships with bookmakers to ensure that suitable levy funding is sustainable.
* Overseeing financial strategy in collaboration with the Director of Finance to manage budgets effectively.
* Inspiring and leading a dedicated team, ensuring GBGB staff and resources are aligned for success.
* Engaging with key stakeholders, from industry leaders to media representatives, shaping public perception and fostering strong partnerships.
* Representing GBGB on the Board of the BGRF, advocating for the sport at the highest levels.
Who You Are:
* Proven experience as a CEO, MD, or Senior Board member, with a track record of delivering impact.
* Strong strategic management skills, particularly in times of change and challenge.
* A solid grasp of financial management, including budget oversight and business acumen in a not-for-profit regulatory environment.
* A deep commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusivity.
* The ability to build and maintain relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
* Resilience and adaptability to thrive under pressure.
* Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
* A strong understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge in, animal welfare and greyhound racing.
