Job Overview
Be responsible to the Nursery Manager for the delivery of full day care to children under 5 years, in accordance with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2017) and adhere to these at all times and ensure the nursery meets these requirements within the daily provision of our services.
Be responsible for the implementation of policies and practices that support and enable all children to achieve to their full potential within outcomes reflected in Every Child Matters (2004), namely, to grow up safe; healthy; enjoying and achieving; making a positive contribution and with economic well-being.
To understand and work to all Trust and Woodlands Day Nursery Policies and Procedures at all times, ensuring a safe and secure environment for the children and practitioners under your supervision.
Be responsible for the safe operation of the provision in the absence of the Manager and Deputy Manager and to be accountable for the delivery of high-quality provision within the setting and report messages effectively to the manager on their return.
Contribute to an annual review of all aspects of the nursery’s operation in order to comply with the evidential documentation required by Ofsted.
Main duties of the job
To accept full day to day responsibility for the efficient running of specific rooms, ensuring that all of the children’s needs are met, and that any concerns are identified and communicated to the Nursery Manager/Deputy immediately.
Qualifications

1. Gained Early Years Level 3 Ofqual Approved Qualification
2. Level 3 Safeguarding Certificate

1. EYFS Observation, Assessment and Planning Structures

1. Substantial experience in this role and in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage for children from birth to five
