Pryor Marking Technology are looking for an Apprentice Machinist Technician to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance apprenticeship and join their team. The candidate will be trained to undertake same responsibilities as machine operatives at Pryor Marking Technology and they will contribute to a high-quality product within the company. This includes working to tight deadlines.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Work (under supervision) with mentors, to provide competency in all aspects of machining techniques.
* Undertake training to obtain recognised qualifications, including completing assignments on time, and attending all AMRC sessions/tutorials.
* Uphold standards within the company by adhering to all policies and procedures.
* Strive to safeguard others by working to the organisation’s Health & Safety Code of Conduct.
Team Work:
* Contribute towards an effective and supportive team environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of products are achieved.
General:
* Contribute to high standards of cleanliness in the working area.
* To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as may be determined by the candidate's supervisor from time to time.

* To be aware of all emergency and fire evacuation procedures.
* To be aware of sections 7 & 8 of the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
* To understand that as part of training you will be required to move to other parts of the company.

Things to Consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training, you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

* GCSE English language C or 4 or above.
* GCSE Maths C or 4 or above.
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
