Accounts Assistant | Full time | Temporary | Flexible working | £12-£15 per hour
Your new company
Your new company is a well-established manufacturing business based in Nelson. Due to growth in the business, they are now recruiting an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, temporary basis. This role offers flexible working hours regarding start/finish times and the standard hours are 9am - 5pm.
Your new role
In your new role as an Accounts Assistant, you will report directly into the Finance Supervisor. Your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Raising invoices & credit notes.
2. Posting daily cash receipts.
3. Chasing up allocation of payments.
4. Allocating payments and setting up weekly and monthly direct debits.
5. Dealing with billing queries and liaising with customers on debt queries.
6. Managing petty cash control, collecting transactions, tracking debits, and maintaining financial records.
7. Assisting with Purchase ledger duties as needed.
8. Helping the office with any other duties as they occur.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you must have:
1. Previous sales ledger or purchase ledger experience.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. A willingness to work within a busy team.
5. Previous experience using Sage (desirable but not essential).
