Job summary
Ludham & Stalham Green Surgeries are recruiting for an enthusiastic practice nurse to join our busy practice based over two sites. This is a part-time role and we are flexible re hours depending on the are a friendly, rural, 4 partner training practice, located on the beautiful Norfolk Broads, a pleasant 25 minute drive from Norwich / Gt Yarmouth.
We are looking for a practice nurse who is motivated, flexible and works well within a team environment. We place a great importance on learning and development for every member of the team. We recognise that without a well-trained, developed and motivated workforce, we cannot deliver quality clinical services.
Main duties of the job
All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:
1. A relevant nursing degree.
2. Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
3. Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications
4. Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates.
5. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry.
6. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.
7. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions.
8. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
