Petrofac is seeking a Contract Assistant on a PAYE 12-month contract position based in Northop Wales.
Job Title: Contract Assistant
Reporting directly to the operations contract support coordinator, the contracts assistant provides support to contract managers in respect to all post contract award activities including contract compliance and the identification of future contract requirements.
To assist with ongoing coordination of all allocated live contracts within the technical planning reporting and cost control team.
To undertake all relevant contract tender activities, including supporting the preparation of scopes of work, technical evaluations, and clarifications.
Main accountabilities and responsibilities
1. Support the post award contract requirements including participation in kick-off meetings, contract amendments and variations, maintaining contractual correspondence files, invoicing checking, claims management, agreement of final accounts and contracts close outs.
2. Provide contract administration support ensuring all activities are performed in line with contractual obligations and ensure that auditable contract records are maintained.
3. Schedule and participate in regular contract review meetings.
4. Monitor contract risks and propose remedial actions.
5. Promote compliance with Eni code of ethics and law 231 principles.
6. Support the preparation of department contract plans and strategies.
7. Support the preparation of requisitions for contract submissions.
8. Provide analysis advice and services to continually improve contract management and administration processes.
9. Ensure that contract status is in accordance with Eni policy in terms of contract requirements, validity, value, and expiry date.
10. In conjunction with procurement, undertake all relevant contract tender activities including supporting the preparation of scope of work, technical evaluations, and clarifications.
11. Liaise with procurement, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth effective contract implementation management process.
12. Ensure full adherence to the companies’ health, safety and environment policies, procedures, and standards.
13. Participate in emergency response duties as required.
The candidate will be educated to an HND or degree level in a commercial subject or equivalent, being a member of a relevant professional association is preferred. The candidate will be a proficient user of PC software, have knowledge of SAP, and have previous contract administration experience in the oil and gas industry.
