Venn Group are currently working with an NHS organisation in the South West, who are seeking an Associate Director of Business Operations and Governance to support the Managing Director in ensuring the organisation delivers its strategic, contractual and operational ambitions as outlined in the strategy and business plan. Main duties of the job: Work with the Chair, Managing Director and Company Secretary, ensure the effective planning and preparation of the requirements of Board and Committee meetings Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution Be accountable for the successful development and delivery of cross-cutting transformation programmes Work in close partnership with the Managing Director and the Senior Leadership Team to provide specialist capability, strategic direction advice and positive leadership for the organisation’s transformational change agenda Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation Review, design and execute improvements to the organisational structure; identifying knowledge and skills gaps and helping to address them Work closely with colleagues to maintain performance and budgetary management of the contract Develop and implement governance policies, procedures and standards in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements Ensure the organisation adheres to relevant laws, regulations and internal policies, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks Prepare and present reports on governance practices, compliance status and risk assessments to the board and senior management Direct management of the corporate PMO function, Corporate administration team, Switchboard and Admin Essential Skills: Business Operations experience within the public sector (ideally NHS) Experience in managing complex change to services Evidence of developing and assuring delivery of complex business, service level, and strategic plans Sound understanding of governance principles, compliance requirements and risk management
