PWIDF, a division of the Premier Forest Group, specializes in supplying high-quality ironmongery, doors, and fixings to the construction industry. Operating from their factory in Newport, South Wales, they are Q-Mark accredited manufacturers of Fire Doors and Security Doors.
As part of their ongoing growth, PWIDF is seeking a motivated individual to join their expanding team. This role will be based at Premier Forest Products' Mon Timber branch in Cardiff. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the trade counter area, assisting customers with counter sales, and providing a wide range of doors, ironmongery, and fixings.
Additionally, they will play a key role in maximizing trade counter revenue by introducing new product lines, running promotions, and maintaining well-merchandised displays.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist customers at the trade counter, handling enquiries and processing orders.
2. Provide product advice, consulting with suppliers or our technical team to ensure customers receive the right products for their needs.
3. Enter customer requirements into our computer system.
4. Pick, pack, and dispatch goods for collection or delivery.
5. Verify orders with customers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
6. Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive trade counter area.
7. Receive and check incoming stock for accuracy and damage.
8. Book stock into our computer system and address any delivery or quality issues with suppliers.
9. Label and store products in appropriate locations.
10. Coordinate product returns to suppliers as necessary.
11. Adhere to health and safety standards and ensure compliance with all ISO accreditations.
12. Work with other departments to enhance overall operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For:
1. Previous experience in sales, preferably with timber, building materials, doors, ironmongery, or construction fixings (training provided, but a foundational knowledge is essential).
2. Experience in warehouse operations.
3. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Sage.
4. Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
What We Offer:
1. Monthly paid salary. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. Saturdays are required on a rota basis from April to October, 8:00am to 12:00 pm.
