Location: Liskeard Office Role Purpose: The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager is to increase the customer base in line with Wildanet requirements, relating to numbers of passings and profitable revenue, through direct engagement with potential and existing customers. The primary focus will be on gaining new business in the Small Business sector but will also include working across all residential and business solutions when required, and supporting to drive consumer sales cross sell opportunities. Main Responsibilities: • You will be responsible for actively and professionally managing the sales cycle from: lead generation; lead management; arranging and managing appointments; preparing proposals and presentations; negotiating and closing contracts. • Manage and forecast key customer opportunities • Drive FTTP Business sales from our existing footprint • Ensuring all relevant grants are utilized to maximize revenue for Wildanet • It is key to ensure all customer requirements are clearly understood and aligned with Wildanet services and solutions provided in line with key competencies and ways of working. • Where required work with a Team to deliver a project or solution within Sales and virtual management across Wildanet • Provide reporting and analysis as required to show activity or specific project activity and as directed by Line Manager • Ensure all accounts are paying and also that effective account development plans are in place Key Activities: While duties and responsibilities will vary, they typically include: • listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale • Cold call and prospect to arrange meetings with potential & existing customers to prospect for new business • Act as a contact between Wildanet and its existing and potential markets, responding to incoming emails and phone enquiries, maintaining, and developing relationships with existing customers • Remove any barriers that may influence a customer’s appetite to buy • Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions • Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective commercial customer • Work in Partnership with the consumer seem to embrace cross sell and upsell opportunities • Development account development plans for bespoke offerings • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations where bespoke business cases have been approved by Director of Sales • Negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with potential customers and interval service providers, and help customers to choose our service where supported by the business • Record sales and order information, accurately and in a timely manner on the CRM • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events where there is strong business ROI • Gather market and customer information and feed future buying trends back to the CMO • Drive own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets across key KPIS • Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues.
