Opportunity
Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd (part of Textron Specialized Vehicles) are seeking a Sales Operations Intern to be based in Ipswich, Suffolk, reporting to the Sales Operations Manager. In Ipswich, at Ransomes Jacobsen, we design, manufacture, and distribute turf maintenance equipment under the brands of Ransomes and Jacobsen. The projects and tasks you will work on will be varied, allowing you to gain a broad understanding of the function.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Collate, analyse, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI) relating to Sales operations activities including, but not limited to, revenue & shipping targets, open order reporting & analysis;
2. Liaise with the internal stakeholder, including production planning teams and Finance, and produce appropriate reports & analysis;
3. Liaise with our Business Partners on Sales pipeline activity;
4. Actively use Microsoft Power BI to design and report findings and make recommendations;
5. Occasional processing of whole good sales orders and answering customer enquiries;
6. To ensure that daily tasks are carried out correctly and in line with Company policy and procedures;
7. To undertake any other reasonable tasks required by the Company.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required:
1. You should be enrolled on a Bachelor’s course in a Business Management/Economics/Finance/Supply Chain/Logistics or similar field that allows you to complete a year in industry;
2. Possess strong numeracy and literacy skills;
3. Be IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Excel;
4. Prior experience of business intelligence software is advantageous;
5. An interest in numbers and sales;
6. Proactive, self-sufficient, and the ability to work with minimal supervision;
7. Excellent data entry and analysis skills;
8. Excellent telephone skills and manner.
