Production Planner – 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

The Role
1. Review mains orders when they are received and set a shipping date.
2. Plan Assembly build of mainly mains orders and any other orders requiring build.
3. Release Manufacturing orders in MRP system and review any requirements to manufacture parts in-house; also release Kits or Stock builds for Stores and Assembly, flag any new Manufacturing parts to Manufacturing Engineering.
4. Planning of machined parts: Create a production plan for the machines, based on structures created by Manufacturing Engineering (what goes on which machine, process, how many, time taken) ensuring plan meets requirements for contract build and shipping date.
5. Planning of single use products manufactured in Cleanroom.
6. Notify Production Engineer or purchasing of any raw material requirements.
7. Continuously review and adapt plan as required, responding to changing priorities.
8. Use of MRP system – Winman, use of Excel for production plans and tracking of orders.
9. Planning of polishing and keep track of progress.
10. Review and liaise with purchasing on the purchase order book.
11. Inform Commercial Team of any delays to final contract shipping date.
12. Manage min/max stock levels and Quarantine in Manufacturing and Assembly.
13. Daily communication with Manufacturing Engineering and Team leaders of relevant Production departments.
14. Attend and update in daily production meetings.

2. Excellent attention to detail.
3. Adaptable and able to cope under pressure.
4. Analytical and with great problem-solving skills.
5. Proficient in the use of Excel.
6. Experience of MRP systems.
7. 2-3 years previous experience in similar role and industry.
