Title: Business Development Manager

Our client, a leading and renowned global engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their friendly and dynamic team! The Business Development Manager Role:
1. Ensure sales opportunities are maximised by strategic planning and mapping, identifying, targeting, and winning new customers and distributors.
2. Ensure full awareness and confidence in product and company knowledge, including NPI's.
3. Manage and build a strong pipeline of prospective customers, mapping, recording activity, and consistently updating.
4. Work on multiple projects, with the ability to prioritise.
5. Carry out continuous market research to ensure being at the forefront of the industry and aware of movements, identifying opportunity.
6. Generate regular sales reports and key performance indicators to share with the wider business and to track performance and identify areas for continuous improvements.
7. Manage tenders, proposals, presentations, contracts, and supporting documentation as required to secure new business and retain clients, including subsequent customer negotiations.
8. Liaise and work with wider teams to ensure customer satisfaction is exceeded and agreed SLA's are achieved.
You’ll Need:
1. Previous experience of operating as a BDM or Sales Manager within a B2B engineering setting.
2. Able to present and influence Senior Stakeholders.
3. Customer focused: A proven track record of building robust customer relationships, securing new business, and retaining clients by delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
4. Able to strategically identify and create objectives in order to achieve individual, department, and wider business goals.
5. Commercially astute with good financial understanding.
6. Able to gather data, compile information, analyse, and prepare reports to share with wider teams.
7. Highly desirable to have operated within an aerospace setting.
8. Proficient in Access and Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
9. Travel and driving may be required as part of this role, and overnight stays will be required at times.
