You will work within a supportive working environment alongside the other CYP Managers, Nurses Educators and current Band 6 team and will have the opportunity to develop and advance in your paediatric nursing and leadership skills. As the Children's Unit Manager, you will lead, advise and support nursing, medical, and AHP colleagues in the acute setting on all aspects of care for children and young people with a focus on enhancing patient experience and maximising resources. This position will provide day-to-day operational management of the acute inpatient ward ensuring optimal delivery of paediatric services. You will be proactive in supporting the Matron in achieving both the clinical governance agenda and the national children's agenda locally in order to ensure the most effective, high quality and efficient service is provided to children and their families. Applicants must be NMC RN(child)/RSCN, hold a relevant first degree and a teaching qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience of caring for children within the acute or community setting.
