Associate Director Corporate Finance (Manchester or Leeds)
Warner Scott are partnered with a Big 4 Professional Services Advisory firm who are looking to hire an Associate Director to their North regions Corporate Finance team, in either Manchester or Leeds. Having been resilient through the market downturn of the last 12 - 18 months, they're now looking to expand further in what is one of the most prominent and active M&A teams in the market.
You will be involved in the origination and execution of lead advisory mandates within the mid-market, specializing in the North, and supporting clients in achieving their strategic goals of buying or selling their companies, from initial strategic review to successful completion. This is a great opportunity for candidates to join a growing, ambitious team as a sector specialist. The business has strong growth ambitions, driven by deep sector expertise and a commitment to delivering top-quality deal execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Build senior and trusted relationships with clients across mid-market and global companies, new strategic entrants, financial investors, and leading entrepreneurs.
* Gain a respected set of market credentials across all of KPMG’s major service lines.
* Develop a diverse skill set with in-depth sector expertise across various industries.
* Lead M&A projects with support from the Director/Partner, acting as a senior point of contact for clients.
* Manage client interactions, overseeing daily project management and execution of M&A transactions, including all stages of the transaction cycle.
* Take charge of creating and delivering transaction documentation, including pitch materials and client proposals.
* Guide and supervise colleagues, support staff, and external advisors in project delivery.
* Review and oversee complex financial modeling and analysis conducted by team members.
* Foster and strengthen relationships within the market.
* Assume responsibility for specific areas of origination and business development.
* Establish, monitor, and manage M&A project budgets, billing, and other reporting requirements.
Attributes, Qualifications & Skills
* Strong academic background (ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent)
* Significant experience within M&A advisory
* Good business case writing, Excel and PowerPoint skills;
* Skilled in financial modeling, financial analysis, in addition to having an understanding of financial accounting;
