Northwick Power is an affiliate of Air Liquide and is an industrial processor of food waste located in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire. The plant has been designed to handle a wide range of waste feedstocks. Through a process called Anaerobic Digestion it utilises the waste as a raw material to create methane, which in turn is used to generate electricity and gas both of which are exported to the national grids and are 100% renewable.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The engineering team at Northwick Power is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Production machinery, anaerobic digestion (AD) process equipment, water treatment plant, buildings and site civils. They are also charged with optimising the performance of the anaerobic digestion process by interpreting analysis results e.g. methane and H2S content of Biogas and taking the necessary action.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Being proactive in improving machine efficiency and effectiveness
* Completing Planned Maintenance tasks and recording of corrective actions on the Maintenance system
* Responsible for Pump repairs / refurbishment and any new installations and fabrications work
* Coordination of breakdowns ensuring quickest possible response and rectification
* Scheduling and organisation of maintenance and improvement works and liaising with suppliers to source critical parts
* Ensure stock levels are maintained to a reasonable economic level, ensuring common failure parts are available by identifying parts required and upcoming issues are identified to the Engineering Leader
* Supervise contractors ensuring safe systems of work are followed
* Adhere to the Site Health & Safety policy in all work activities
This is a full time position Monday- Friday, with additional rota'd call out.
Are you a MATCH?
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a similar role. You'll need strong problem solving skills and an ability to communicate and work with the wider team.
We also look for:
* Relevant Engineering education (electronic or mechanical) and/ or experienced time served as an engineer
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Any experience in the food industry is desirable but not essential
* Experience with liquid metering is desired
