Do you enjoy teaching and mentoring others and still want to do the GP day job?Then this could be the role for you The Primary and Community Care Academy in north Wales in partnership with Hillcrest Medical Centre is developing a Multi Disciplinary Practitioner Training Hub in North Wales to offer a range of training and learning opportunities for the current and next generation of primary and community care practitioners. Main duties of the job The job plan will included protected / dedicated sessions for the clinical and educational supervision of a small cohort of trainees, this will/may include Medical Students, Physician Associates, Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners and GP Trainees, don’t worry if you aren’t a GP Trainer we will support you to become one. With a list size of 15,501 the Practice has an extensive multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical staff. The Practice also operates a tailored telephony system to support with patient access to services (this is in place for all of our Health Board practices in the East Area). Located close to Wrexham city, the practice has easy access to the A483/A55 dual carriageways (with the city of Chester just a short drive away) and the national M53/M56/M6 motorway network. The city also boasts the well-known Wrexham Association Football Club now owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The Practice uses EMIS Web. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities This is a portfolio role and we would also be looking for the successful applicant to undertake clinical sessions in the practice, we welcome applications for full and part time hours but are looking for a minimum commitment of 2 days per week as a clinical supervisor as you will be looking after our students in the first instance. The Training Team will also include non-medical professionals. The Team will work collaboratively to deliver the range of training, education and skills enhancement opportunities at the Medical Centre, regionally as members of the Academy faculty and will actively promote and undertake clinical research at the practice.
