Attraction casual - Santa Claus
£13.50 per hour
Various hours - daytime Sundays in December
Location: Award winning family visitor attraction - Anderton Boat Lift (Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 6FW)
We're looking for 1 or 2 Santa's to join the Christmas crew to meet with children and bring Christmas spirit to our Santa cruises at our unique and much-loved visitor attraction Anderton Boat Lift. It's pretty magical all year round, but in December it transforms into something special for visitors of all ages.... when Mr. & Mrs. Santa come to visit.
Santa will be meeting with visiting children and their accompanying adults on Sundays 8, 15, 22, plus Monday 23 & Christmas Eve 24 December. We don't need you to be available for all those dates, but a minimum of 2 of those dates is preferred as it helps the team to plan and rotate what can be very busy days! We want to make sure Santa has rest between event dates, as we know he has lots of other children to meet worldwide at this time!
It's important that you love meeting people of all ages all day long, and particularly happy to chat with very excited children throughout the day. They will be queuing up to join you on a fun cruise with plenty of fun and singing along the way.
Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
This is casual work for the Christmas season specifically. We are looking for multiple people, so if you are interested and available some or all dates needed: Sundays 8, 15, 22, plus Monday 23 & Christmas Eve 24 December, please contact us.

About the role:
* Greet excited children and their families with a warm and kind, Christmas-filled welcome.
* You'll be provided with your Santa clothing; however, you could bring the Christmas joy without it!
* Spread Christmas joy for all age groups and particularly confident engaging with younger children and their wonderful imaginations at this time of year.
* Greet children and their families at the cafe for hello's and have pictures taken before the Santa Cruise sets off.
* Boat based for 4 Santa cruises each date you work - these are slow, gentle cruises with plenty of singing and family fun on-board led by Santa's elves and helpers.
* Sundays in December, plus 23 & 24 December - we do not need to be available for all dates, but a minimum of 2 dates preferred.
* Working hours: 9am - 4pm on the dates you work. 30 min lunch. There will be 4 cruises between 11am - 2:30pm.
* Training day for the Christmas crew will be held late November.
About you
* Confident working with the general public, you will be engaging and enthusiastic - particularly engaging with young children.
* Work well as a team - Mr. & Mrs. Santa and all their helpers rely on each other to make these magical days.
* Create a fun and cheerful, celebratory environment - you really enjoy bringing the Christmas cheer.
* Reliable - we need to know you will be on time and ready to bring the joy for each shift.
* Reflect and demonstrate our values at all times.

What We Offer
Your rate of pay will be based £13.50 per hour, which includes rolled-up holiday payment for hours worked.
As multiple roles are available, we will be interviewing candidates whilst the vacancy is open.
