Position: Team Leader - Home Care
Location: Southampton, UK
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our busy domiciliary care service based in Southampton. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of care workers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and support a team of care workers, providing guidance and mentoring as needed
2. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members
3. Ensure all care plans are up to date and being followed accurately
4. Coordinate client schedules and assign care workers to appropriate shifts
5. Monitor and maintain stock levels of necessary equipment and supplies
6. Communicate with clients and their families to ensure their needs are being met and address any concerns or issues that may arise
7. Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure all staff are up to date on policies and procedures
8. Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new care workers
9. Maintain accurate and timely records and reports
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory/leadership role in a home care setting
2. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Strong organizational and time-management abilities
5. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
6. Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
7. Valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
