Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bishop's Stortford (Projects in London, Cambridge, and Stevenage)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + benefits
Are you an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to advance your career with a leading tier-one property services contractor? We are recruiting for a dynamic role focused on delivering high-quality social housing planned maintenance projects across London, Cambridge, and Stevenage.
The Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of planned maintenance works in the social housing sector. These projects will include upgrades such as windows and doors, structural repairs, roofing works, as well as kitchen and bathroom refurbishments. This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established contractor and be involved in impactful projects that improve communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the senior commercial team in managing the financial aspects of multiple projects.
Preparing cost estimates, valuations, and final accounts.
Monitoring project budgets and managing subcontractor payments.
Assisting in tender preparation and contract administration.
Ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements.
Providing detailed reports on project progress and financial health.
About You:
You are either fully qualified or part way through your degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
You have a keen interest in the property services sector, particularly in social housing.
You are a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player with excellent communication skills.
You have a strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A driving license is essential, as travel to sites will be required.
