INTERNAL SALES ENGINEER, PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
Hours: Full time - 40 hours Mon to Thursday, on Friday
Our client is a world leading architectural manufacturing company, who have been trading for over 60 years.
We are looking for a full-time Internal Sales Engineer, Project Co-ordinator to join their busy sales office.
Responsibilities:
1. Experience in a technical sales office environment.
2. Strong communication skills - ability to share and understand customer requirements and translate these into the finishes and processes we can offer with due consideration for effective clamping to flight bars for processing.
3. A working knowledge of engineering and architectural drawings such that they can assess and calculate surface areas on fabricated panels and extruded sections, to allow preparation of quotations.
4. Ability to present these quotations to customers, follow up on quotations and projects, and win orders.
5. Ensuring effective recording of updates/information in the Sales database, thus enabling efficient teamwork and good liaison with the Business Development Managers - this may necessitate customer visits (within the UK) with appropriate BDM.
6. Managing orders with accuracy and in a timely manner from quotation through to completion.
7. Working closely with the Commercial team, sharing leads for them to visit potential customers, or to help support existing clients, i.e. fabricators, system suppliers, façade companies, and architects in winning projects.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with our in-house team and with clients.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
10. Well-organised with attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving - a can-do attitude, not afraid to make decisions but smart enough to know when to ask for advice.
11. Time management skills - able to work on your own and within a team to tight timescales.
12. A good standard of qualifications, ideally Degree level or A-levels. GCSE with appropriate experience - good examination passes in Maths and English is a necessity.
13. Other related skills, i.e. CAD drawings or practical experience in metal fabrication would be a benefit.

You will also need great timekeeping skills, an enthusiastic and adaptable approach to carrying out duties with a flexible attitude.

The salary offered will be based on experience, but could vary from £25k for a new graduate keen to start and prove themselves to £35k to £40k+ for an ideal candidate with proven relevant experience.
