We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join their dynamic science department. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students across different key stages, fostering a love for chemistry and developing their scientific skills. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a Chemistry Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
2. Foster a stimulating learning environment that supports all students in achieving their potential.
3. Use innovative teaching methods and practical experiments to enhance student understanding.
4. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the chemistry curriculum.
6. Support extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, competitions, or field trips.
7. Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring the welfare of all students.
Ideal Chemistry Teacher:
1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Chemistry.
2. Has a strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for chemistry education.
3. Is an effective communicator with the ability to engage and inspire students.
4. Demonstrates excellent classroom management and differentiation skills as a Chemistry Teacher.
5. Works collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider science department.
6. Is committed to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching.
