Hours: 40 hours a week (2 x 15 hour shifts and 1 x 10 hour shift plus one sleep in a week)
Applications MUST hold a driving license.
Our client, a leading provider of Residential Care and Education, is looking to appoint a team of superstars to their beautiful homes in Westbury. Their homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and their aim is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in their care. Their support workers are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in their young people, so we celebrate the little things.
What your day will look like:
You'll take care of their young people day to day, making sure things run smoothly and creating lasting memories. This involves making sure they are up and ready for school, helping with homework, completing paperwork and planning activities. Evenings and weekends are for fun, whether that's playing on the Xbox, a game of football, having a film day or going go-karting - not a bad way to spend your day at work! Working there is never dull, and the work really matters. It's about tapping into each young person's needs, personality and potential - and guiding them toward a positive future.
What we're looking for:
1. A 'can do' attitude - a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others
2. Genuine care for their young people (and each other) so honesty and empathy is a must
3. Resilience to deal with challenging situations
4. A full UK driving licence which you've held for at least 12 months
5. If you don't have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we'll pay for you to study and support you every step of the way
What our client offers:
1. Base salary of £26,844 - £33,012
2. Bonuses: Up to 4 sleep ins per month, paid at £80 per sleep (approx. £3,840 per year), £1,400 Attendance Allowance, £2,000 Regional Allowance, £1,000 Welcome Bonus (on successful completion of probation), and £1,000 Loyalty Bonus (after 12 months of employment)
3. Training: A full 4-week induction on our Care Academy
4. Holiday: 7 weeks' holiday
5. Progression: Opportunities for career development, with most team leaders and managers promoted from within
6. Flexible benefits package: Increase/decrease your holiday allowance, pension, and life insurance
7. Wellbeing: A host of wellbeing tools and advice including employee assistance
8. Medical cover for claiming costs of optician or dentist appointments and high-street discounts
9. Meals provided while at work
10. Beautiful working environments with the very best facilities
11. A recommend a friend scheme that offers a £2,000 bonus for each referral
