This is an opportunity for a part-time Maintenance Person to join our Big C retail team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and regular repairs of Big C’s properties and facilities, including fixtures, fittings and associated equipment. We support anyone that needs us including those with a cancer diagnosis, their family and loved ones. Big C provides outstanding holistic support, aiming to improve lives through services at the charity’s eight warm and welcoming Support Centres and Hubs. Alternatively, support is offered via video chat or by telephone through Big C’s Virtual Support Centre. All services are free of charge, including person-centred counselling, complementary treatments, group support, welfare guidance, exercise and nutrition programmes and bereavement support. A friendly welcome and listening ear are guaranteed at Big C. Founded in Norfolk over 40 years ago, Big C has raised over £45 million to fund its growing services. The charity greatly benefits from the donations raised by its loyal community supporters, local businesses, legacies and grants from community funds and trusts. About the role If you have experience in facilities/property management, able to work within a small team, able to use initiative and able to agree and work within budgets and timescales, this could be ideal for you. You will undertake regular building checks to ensure Big C properties are maintained to the highest standard, liaising with contractors when required. The working hours are 21 hours per week to be worked flexibly over 3 days including weekends. The salary is £22,975.66 to £25,902.14 full time equivalent ( £13,785.40 to £15,541.28 per annum pro rata). £12.59 to £14.19 per hour. You will be based at our Wymondham Distribution Centre but regular travel to other Big C locations will be required.
