Contract details: 1x FTC/attachment role starting 01/05/2025 to 27/02/2026
Location: Media City, Salford - This is a hybrid role but will require a minimum of two days on site each week.
Salary: £24,300 to £29,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Introduction
BBC Bitesize is looking for Researcher(s) to be a key part of the team delivering Bitesize Curriculum content. You will work closely with Bitesize Producers and Researchers, and with teams across the wider Education department and Nations, to deliver excellent, curriculum-focused content for audiences aged 4-16.
Main Responsibilities
You will have a key role in the delivery of the following curriculum project:
• Primary History
You will support the Producers and Assistant Producers to deliver commissioned suites of content.
You will deliver digital resources that may include video, text, infographics, bespoke games and interactive activities.
The content you create will both inspire and support young learners in their formal education.
Are you the right candidate?
You will need to:
• Have a solid understanding of the UK curricula.
• Have experience of creating high-quality, web-native, digital learning content.
• Be able to generate great ideas to help deliver learning online and make these a reality.
• Be able to initiate, set-up and run user-testing and/or audience insight sessions.
• Be able to work within established project management workflows to effectively deliver defined components of complex digital projects.
• Have experience of commissioning infographics and written content from specialist writers.
• Be able to accurately edit large volumes of text for online publication.
• Evidence a range of digital publishing skills, including previous use of CMS’s (e.g. iSite), video upload software (e.g. iBroadcast), and image editing software (e.g. PhotoShop or Illustrator).
• Have practical editorial experience in making content for children and applying appropriate editorial judgement.
This role requires a relevant DBS check to be undertaken by the BBC at the appropriate level, at the point of offer of a contract of employment.
