We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent Full Stack Web Developer to join our software development team.
This role can either be office-based or home-based, with a requirement to travel to one of our offices in Telford or Nottingham as needed.
The Role
In this role, you will work on customer-facing websites, e-commerce stores, and internal applications/services. Some of the technologies we use include Laravel, React, InertiaJS, Typescript, FilamentPHP, MySQL, JIRA, Tailwind, Pulumi, Shopify, and Docker. If you have experience with any of these, this could be the job for you.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Crafting high-quality, testable, and efficient code following best software development practices
* Troubleshooting and resolving bugs
* Refactoring and improving the codebase for maintenance and scalability
* Actively participating in team activities, such as code reviews, pair programming, and retrospectives
* Creating and maintaining software documentation
* Working in line with company procedures to provide excellent service to our customers
The person
We seek a highly motivated and versatile professional to join our team as a Full Stack Web Developer. You should be deeply passionate about the ever-evolving world of software development and possess a robust portfolio of experience across various projects—from engaging customer-facing websites to sophisticated internal systems. You will bring a wealth of knowledge and creativity to our team.
The Agrovista development team are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values open communication and is eager to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. You should be a proactive team player, enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and learning from others, with excellent communication skills that enable you to work effectively both independently and within a team. The role requires flexibility to occasionally travel to our Telford or Nottingham offices (about 3-4 times per year).
Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS and EventBridge would be desirable (though not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate). Additionally, proficiency in Typescript will be a significant advantage, although we welcome applications from those willing to learn and develop their skills in this area.
The successful candidate will be committed to writing well-designed, maintainable, and efficient code, actively participating in code reviews, pair programming, and retrospectives, and continuously improving our codebases for better performance and scalability.
If you are a driven developer looking to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and dynamic team, we would love to hear from you. Join us and be part of a forward-thinking company where your contributions will be valued, and your professional growth nurtured.
At this time, we are only looking for candidates residing within the United Kingdom.
