ClinicalTo undertake physiotherapy assessment, clinically diagnose and implement agreed plans as appropriate including the routine treatment of complex patients in the manner that respects peoples privacy, dignity and individuality. To act as advisor to Therapy staff regarding complex clinical issues and complex patient management, problem solving, making decisions, authorising appropriate action. To ensure effective two way communication with patients and other Health Professionals regarding all aspects of patient care. To provide and receive complex information that requires empathy and reassurance, communicating where there may be barriers to understand. To ensure a high standard of patient care is provided, implementing and reviewing clinical standards relevant to the work undertaken/clinical speciality Managerial & LeadershipTo liaise with the Therapy Manager providing specialist advice on the planning and development of the service. To represent Therapy Services on any service development working parties / meetings as appropriate To support the leading of regular staff meetings and facilitate good communication between the department and Trust both on Trust and National issues ensuring effective dissemination of information. To provide expert advice to colleagues To monitor activity and support production/analysis of data for clinical speciality Where necessary, to take appropriate action to ensure activity and waiting list targets are achieved within the service. To assess the Therapy equipment required for the department. To actively participate in the professional development programme of the physiotherapy /therapy department.
