Main duties of the job
1. To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence-based, patient-centred care.
2. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whilst reflecting the philosophy of care.
3. To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery.
4. To provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care.

* Registered nurse with current registration with NMC. Diploma and working towards or willing to work towards degree level. Practice assessor and supervisor training.

* First Level/Supervisory Management Qualification or Course.

* Minimum of two years of experience at Band 5 level. Proven experience of clinical leadership of a team and leading team through change. Experience of mentoring.
