There may be additional occasional travel required to site and client offices. This is a full-time permanent position. The Planning Engineer role: Reporting to the Projects Director, the Planning Engineer will be actively involved in the day to day delivery of allocated projects. The Planning Engineer will help to develop and monitor schedules and project progress control tools that meets Stopford Requirements, ensuring that all required reporting and administration deadlines are achieved. Key Responsibilities of the Planning Engineer will include: Develop Project Network diagrams and host interactive planning sessions. Preparation of all levels of Project Schedule in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 software including resource loaded. Monitoring and reporting of project progress and identification of slippage. Ensure project milestones are achieved. Review and where necessary challenge earned value reports from delivery team. Preparation of recovery plans in case of project slippage. Preparation of Change Notes and Incorporation of changes into schedule. Re-baselining of schedules. Production of weekly and monthly S Curves for incorporation into reports. Support Project Controls activities including cost control and forecasting. Role requirements for our Planning Engineer: You will be able to demonstrate:- Project planning / controls experience. Ideally educated to a higher level or equivalent in engineering discipline. Project experience in nuclear, oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals or renewable energy industries. Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of planning / project controls software. (Primavera P6 and MS Project) The ability to work with multiple discipline projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisation, time management and decision making skills. Working knowledge of Office 365 including One Drive and Sharepoint with proficient use of Word and excel.
