Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimise our business operations. The successful candidate will lead teams (CNC, Laser & Fold, Build, Fabrication, and Stores), improve efficiency, ensure quality control, and maintain seamless workflow across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
* Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance for all staff.
* Coordinate with section manager and team leaders to ensure seamless coordination between different functions within the organisation.
* Set clear objectives and performance targets for team members, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
* Monitor KPIs and budgets to assess performance and drive improvements.
* Oversee training and team development to enhance performance and morale.
* Coordinate with other departments to establish realistic and achievable delivery dates for customers.
* Optimise production and operational processes to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
* Manage customer visits, providing support during machine trials and demonstrations.
* Prepare reports on operational performance for senior management review.
* Drive change management initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
* At least 5 years’ experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role in an engineering manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Expertise in operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
* Proficiency in relevant software, such as QuickBooks.
