Role Overview
We are looking for a confident communicator to join a large tech business operating on the global stage. Within this role, you will join a small team of professionals developing solutions to bespoke problems and analysing complex underwater datasets with a view to influencing the development of next-generation ship profiles and ship systems.
Day-To-Day Role Responsibilities
Within this role, you will be working on a variety of modelling, scientific and programming tasks across the following areas:
* Magnetic, Electronic, and Electromagnetic modelling and field propagation in conductive and non-conductive media
* Finite Element Analysis and Boundary Element Analysis
* Underwater Analysis of electromagnetic, acoustic, pressure, and seismic signatures
* Numerical and Optimisation Methods
* Modern Control Theory
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
* Hold a degree, Masters, or PhD in Physics, Maths or a related area
* Strong background with C++ programming
* Experience with some of the following:
* Vector Fields Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
* COMSOL Multiphysics
* MATLAB or Simulink
* Confidence writing reports and briefs
* Confident communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Occasional travel to alternate sites
