Senior Commercial Intelligence Analyst - Sales Specialist

Description
Based in Oxford, you will work in a dynamic multi-national team responsible and will play a key role in collecting, processing and reporting of key data supporting all aspects of our commercial and operational activities.
You would join our commercial team, which is expected to grow and offer potential for progression and personal development, including through international expansion and creating new data and software-based solutions.
This role would be ideal for a candidate at an earlier stage of their career who is looking to develop a skillset in analytics and reporting with a focus on commercial management.
Successful candidates will combine a strong analytical mindset, the ability to answer unstructured data questions, and interpersonal relationship skills with an interest in energy markets and the transition towards a more sustainable world. They will work in a young, dynamic, intellectually stimulating, demanding and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Join the Commercial Intelligence team in their mission to provide key insights and management information to the Commercial and Senior Management teams.
2. Identify key insights and present these to Commercial stakeholders with the aim of driving them towards data-driven decisions and strategies.
3. Partner with the Commercial teams to understand their objectives, plans and strategies, using this partnership to help them be more effective in delivering their commercial goals.
4. Coordinate with the Commercial Systems and Commercial Intelligence team members to influence system development; data collection and analytics to provide the insights this role will benefit from.
5. Provide an analytical/system orientated resource for ad hoc initiatives within the commercial team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required attributes:
1. A high level of numerical & analytical competence.
2. Experience in analysing, manipulating and visualising data.
3. An ability to understand unstructured data questions to carry out analysis to provide relevant and valuable insights and recommendations.
4. Experience with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
5. An ability to effectively prioritise and manage your own time and tasks, and those of your team members.
6. Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technically and non-technically minded parties.
7. Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
8. Evidence of performing well in team-oriented environments.
Desirable attributes:
1. Experience of producing and managing sales & KPI based reporting.
2. Experience in a sales, trading or account management environment.
