We are looking to recruit a part time GP Receptionist to join our team. Hours of work are to be discussed at interview.
Vision trained an advantage but full training with be provided.

We are a practice in the centre of Wrexham with good train and bus routes.
Main duties of the job
Provide a helpful and friendly service, making sure the reception area is tidy and welcoming.
To comply with the practice procedure for the registration of new patients, temporary patients, private patients and those seen as an emergency or immediate and necessary.
To comply with relevant practice procedures, regulations and confidentiality at all times
To liaise with the Reception Manager/Practice Manager when required and follow their instructions in a professional manner
Ensure an effective and efficient reception service.
Process face to face and phone call request.
Signposting patients to the appropriate healthcare professional.
Utilise the appointment system with the correct clinician.
Ability to work as a dynamic team member to ensure excellent care.
Accurately input data onto the system (training provided).
Vision knowledge an advantage but training will be given.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In accordance with practice policies and procedures: Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.
Receive and accurately convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically Liaise with patients and their families in a compassionate manner.
Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff.
Arrange appointments for patients to see GP, nurse and other clinical staff associated with the practice.
Ability to use excellent judgement, resourcefulness and be able to workunder pressure without direct supervision.
To combine excellent communicationskills with patience, empathy and accuracy.
To be reliable and flexibleExperience in adding patient data to clinical systems.
Good communication skills are essential.
Contactpatients to convey test results and instructions as directed by the GPs.
Contact patients to arrange appointments with appropriate clinicians formonitoring or seasonal vaccinations.
Deal with travel enquiries and vaccinationappointments as per practice procedure. Advise patients of relevant charges fornon NHS services. Accept payment and issue receipts.
Prepare medical records for deductedpatients to return.
Log new patients records and file appropriately.
Assist withcompletion of patient surveys. Accept and sign for deliveries once items havebeen checked against order form. To keep reception area, notice boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free fromobstructions and clutter.
Checking consulting rooms each day to ensure theyhave adequate supplies of stationary and couch rolls.
Understand the usage ofthe practice email and intranet system to ensure effective communication.Attend Practice Meetings. Undertake any other additional duties appropriate as requested by the Business/Reception Manager.
