Red Sky have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our highly respected client in the world of aviation! You will be responsible for the management of maintenance and materials planning requirements and the production of line and base maintenance work packs. Review of maintenance work packs completion prior to aircraft departure and updating the MIS as required.
Main Responsibilities
1. Follow the company procedures in order to ensure compliance.
2. Liaise with the Maintenance Team and other key departments to ensure a common understanding of maintenance capability and capacity.
3. Enter technical log utilisation data onto the MIS.
4. Review of allocated aircraft maintenance status to ensure compliance with the approved maintenance program.
5. Preparation and review of maintenance variations.
6. Identify provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft based on projected utilisation and keep up to date the in-house maintenance planning calendar.
7. Review material requirements against provisional maintenance dates for allocated aircraft.
8. Raise reservations/purchase requisitions for required materials.
9. Liaise with Customer Support Managers to confirm maintenance dates with the owner/operator.
10. Liaise with the Airworthiness Department for accomplishment of ADs, SBs, EOs and other airworthiness requirements.
11. Raise scheduled maintenance work packs and confirm required materials and necessary documentation are available for allocated aircraft.
12. Review work packs for maintenance inputs to ensure that aircraft downtimes are minimised.
13. Ensure that prior to aircraft departing from Base Maintenance inputs, all planned maintenance has been accomplished and liaise with Customer Support Managers as required.
14. Issue 'Short Term Maintenance Items' forecast for each aircraft.
15. Reset Maintenance tasks on the MIS.
16. Provide cross functional support across the CAMO team.
17. Continually improve airworthiness process & procedures to enhance overall efficiency of the Planning department.
18. Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Planning Supervisor, Continuing Airworthiness Manager or designated deputy.
Knowledge and Skills
1. Good understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and material planning requirements as related to Part CAMO / A8-25 & Part 145 / A8-23.
2. Methodical with acute attention to detail.
3. Self-motivated and able to work without supervision or as part of a team.
4. Flexible work ethic focused on delivering against agreed timelines.
5. Strong team leadership.
6. Proactive - ability to recognise potential issues and apply remedial action before they raise concern or affect operations.
7. Must have high computer literacy skills and be competent with Google Docs.
8. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
Education, Qualifications or Training
1. Minimum 5 GCSE's Grade C or above or equivalent recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQ, BTEC).
2. Aviation related degree or equivalent.
3. Aviation human factors training undertaken.
4. Recognised Part CAMO Training Course accomplished.
5. Recognised Part 145 Training Course accomplished.
