About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team on a temporary basis for 4 months. This role is crucial in managing and maintaining outstanding debtor accounts, ensuring timely collections, and providing essential support to our finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the collection and maintenance of outstanding debtor accounts.
2. Reconcile customer accounts and address any queries.
3. Chase overdue invoices via telephone and email.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
5. Provide information for weekly reporting to the Ledger Manager.
6. Handle customer telephone enquiries and complete invoice queries promptly.
7. Conduct daily debt recovery activities, including sending emails and maintaining accurate records.
8. Issue statements and follow up on emails as required.
9. Manage queries in the credit control mailbox.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit Control.
2. Background in managing major accounts.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication and telephone skills.
5. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
6. Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
