We’ll help you succeed
The work we do is underpinned by quality. We deliver audits which are trusted and transparent which can be relied upon by companies and their stakeholders. You’ll be someone who is comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners. You’ll help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long term value.
Responsibilities
1. Act as a major point of contact within the firm for the audited entity, together with the Partner.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at senior levels, to develop a strong commercial understanding of the audited entity.
3. Identify and recognise business and sales opportunities and inform the Partner as appropriate.
4. Act as an ambassador of the firm, participate in office marketing events, and keep abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers.
5. Recruit, retain, develop and motivate our employees, which includes participating in graduate recruitment, ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines and ensuring appropriate objectives and development plans are in place for counselees.
6. Complete assignments within agreed budgets and timescales and identify opportunities for additional billings.
Minimum Requirements
1. ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
2. Previous experience of managing people.
3. Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
4. Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
5. Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures.
6. Project Management experience.
