Job Title - Builder Head Office Location - Brindley Place, Birmingham Job Location - Wiltshire/Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire Salary - £28,000 - £31,000 per annum - depending on skills and experience Contract type - Permanent Working hours - Full Time (39 hours per week) Closing Date - TBC Interview Date - TBC About the role You will complete maintenance work in occupied and unoccupied properties unsupervised. You will repair or replace items to maintain properties to a high standard. You will work with and support other members of the Planned/ Responsive Maintenance / Void Team to ensure that the quality and performance targets for the team are met. You will achieve a first time fix on as many jobs as possible, taking responsibility where follow-up work is required for ensuring robust arrangements are in place to make sure the work is completed. Your role will be to manage an electronic diary, keeping management, colleagues and the contact centre updated on progress and any problems. You will record in a timely and accurately manner details of jobs including status, materials and labour using the electronic handheld device (PDA). Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer. About you You will have or working towards NVQ Level 2 in Construction Operations. You must have experience of labouring duties in the maintenance or building related sector. You will assist in the refurbishment of properties including; kitchens, bathrooms, disabled adaptations, roofs, communal areas and community buildings. You will be able to ensure the safe and proper use of all mechanical and non-mechanical plant and equipment under their direct control. You will be able to work without immediate supervision in the most economical manner. You will have the ability to work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, lifting platforms and cherry pickers.
