Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for both statutory reporting and internal financial reporting. They will play a key role in the creation and management of budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial statements accurately reflect the company's financial status and financial risks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in compliance with internal procedures, UK GAAP and other regulatory guidelines.
2. Manage the internal financial reporting process, providing timely and relevant financial information to stakeholders, including variance analysis and finance business partnership support.
3. Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage the annual budget and forecast flexing.
4. Perform variance analysis between actuals and forecasts, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
5. Support and incorporate FP&A risk and strategy into budget flexing and contribute to financial planning and analysis tasks as needed.
6. Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements and deadlines.
7. Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and review processes.
8. Continuously improve financial reporting processes and controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
9. Assist in ad-hoc projects and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
1. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within practice or industry.
3. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and statutory requirements.
4. Data-focused FP&A experience is highly desirable.
5. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
