Role Overview: The Head of Operations will oversee the delivery of energy efficiency measures across a dynamic and expanding organisation. This role involves managing a diverse team responsible for insulation, gas, and electric operations, while closely collaborating with the renewables department. The Head of Operations will ensure all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations, fostering a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Health and Safety:
Implement and maintain health and safety standards, ensuring all operations comply with relevant regulations.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance and address any arising issues.
2. Operational Oversight:
Manage and support a team of operations managers overseeing insulation, gas, and electric teams.
Work closely with the renewables department to integrate energy efficiency measures into operations.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency within the operations department.
3. Communication and Problem Solving:
Act as the primary contact for daily operational issues, providing solutions and support to the team.
Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration within the team, ensuring regular check-ins and team meetings.
4. IT and Reporting:
Collaborate with IT support to ensure systems meet the needs of the operations team.
Utilise data and productivity reporting to monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure all operational processes are documented and accessible, providing training and support as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Extensive experience in the construction industry, with knowledge of multiple trades such as tiling, electrics, plastering, joinery, and plumbing.
2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members effectively.
3. Proven problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational issues.
4. Familiarity with IT systems and software used in operations management.
5. Ability to delegate tasks effectively and manage a diverse team of professionals.

Compensation and Benefits:
1. Salary: £60-65,000
2. Holidays: 25 days plus birthday
