Are you an individual who is passionate about supporting children with their mental health needs?
If so…
A rewarding position has become available for an Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker to work in a school in Ascot. This position offers valuable experience while making a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
These students struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, and various other mood disorders. They need someone who can facilitate a positive and safe environment for them to learn and grow.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be directly involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health.
Your day-to-day duties will involve:
1. Supporting and shadowing the class teacher.
2. Providing 1:1 support for the SEN students.
3. Running engaging lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun place.
4. Implementing behavioral management as required.
The role would suit someone who is resilient and confident in supporting young people with challenging mental health needs. This is a great opportunity for aspiring psychologists, social workers, therapists, and counselors.
Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Those with a background in sports, art, or drama will also have an advantage. Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.
