We are looking to offer a IT Project Manager the opportunity to join our expanding IT PMO team based in Stevenage or Newcastle.

The IT PMO Team are responsible for IT projects, accountable for successful delivery of IT Projects, to time and pre-agreed budget across M Group Services.

As the IT Project Manager, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Draw up and maintain project and communication plans that will support the delivery of the various IT projects being undertaken.
2. Effectively manage and report on project budgets.
3. Work with all parties to agree, co-ordinate and schedule project activities.
4. Direct and motivate the project team as appropriate.
5. Work closely with suppliers and book relevant technical resources to deliver project tasks.
6. Produce and share weekly/bi-weekly/monthly project highlight reports.
7. Highlight IT project risks, evaluate, communicate to key people and manage those risks. If necessary, feed these risks into the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
8. Manage expectations for the delivery of the project and escalate issues on deadlines as early as possible to enable appropriate corrective action to be taken.
9. Undertake project closure as per the IT project management approach.
10. Ensure that the necessary project documentation has been completed.
11. Ensure that any changes to the originally agreed scopes of work are managed through change control and that the results of the changes are documented and clearly communicated to all key stakeholders.
12. Ensure project management methodology is always followed during the IT change lifecycle.
What you’ll bring?
1. Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels.
2. Experience of financial accounting and reporting practices, such as costs, and risks.
3. Experience of managing IT projects or IT change in a range of different organisations/market sectors.
4. Thorough understanding of the project management process throughout the lifecycle, and the ability to identify issues and take corrective action.
5. Experience working on projects which have required significant business change management.
6. Experience of working with formal project methodologies (e.g. AgilePM, PRINCE2) and associated accreditation (e.g. AgilePM Practitioner, PRINCE2 Practitioner).
7. Experience of managing third-party suppliers.
8. Ensure all required processes, procedures and controls are in place.
9. Experience of managing multiple projects/workstreams.
10. Provision of reporting and metrics which demonstrate effective governance and control which meet customer/business requirements.
11. Risk/Issue Management and ensuring escalation processes are in place and used effectively.
