A local company out of Plant City, FL that manufactures transfer trailers, dump trailers, and suspensions is hiring an Aluminum & Steel MIG Welder! As an Aluminum & Steel MIG Trailer Manufacturing Welder you are responsible for installing, assembling, and repairing dump bodies, trailers, wet kits, 5th wheels, and other truck equipment to company and customer standards to meet the production schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Adheres to all procedures as outlined in the company handbook
* Uses and conducts proper care of Personal Protective Equipment
* Inspects assembly and components for conformance of specifications and brings attention to defective pieces
* Performs MIG welding by using a variety of arc and gas welding equipment
* Reads engineering drawings for fabrication, or assembly, of sold items as well as electrical and pneumatic schematics for customer desired products
* Follows standard practices of installation pad for consistent product output
* Welds, installs, repairs, and maintains hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery, parts, and systems
* Uses basic hand tools such as measuring tapes, wrenches, screw drivers, wire cutters and other specialty equipment such as magnetic drills, and plasma cutters
* Learns and operates equipment in a safe manner
* Willingness to cross-train by moving to other work areas in order to support production needs
* Ensures work area and department is secure, clean, and properly shut down at the end of each workday
* Maintains equipment and tools
* Performs other job duties as assigned
Who We’re Looking For
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Prior mechanical experience
* Prior welding experience is required
* Employer provides power tools, but employee must provide own hand tools
* Ability to read tape measures, blue prints, engineering drawings, and installation manuals
* Physically able to frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift 50+ lbs
* Must wear safety glasses and other PPE as required
What You Can Expect
* $18.00 - $22.00/hr depending on experience
* $17.00 - $18.00/hr entry level with training opportunities to advance depending on weld test results after 90 days
* Regular schedule of Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 4:30pm, occasional Saturdays
