Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture Role Purpose Responsible for conducting quality control tests and analysing results to ensure that released operational systems and infrastructure meet or exceed agreed standards and requirements. Accountabilities • Create and execute test cases for systems. • Install, test, analyse, troubleshoot and modify new equipment/solutions for Utilities to achieve maximum performance and availability. • Standardise equipment to minimise disruption and achieve straightforward integration with existing infrastructure. • Apply standard procedures to solve problems and identify appropriate resolution. • Implement and maintain test automation for different software products and systems • Identify, document, and escalate software defects. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design tests accordingly, and resolve issues. • Ensure that all testing is compliant with industry regulations. • Provide test progress reports and metrics. • Continuously improve testing methodologies and automation scripts. Skills • Software testing - understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and tools. • Test Automation - Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks. • Programming languages - Proficiency in programming languages • Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues • Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support • Attention to detail - keen attention to detail in identifying defects and ensuring accuracy • Adaptability - Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and work. Knowledge & Experience • Experienced in software testing or a related field • Experience with test automation and testing tools.
