Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Brent – Permanent
Location: Brent
Starting: As soon as possible
We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants who will cover classes across the school when needed as well as run interventions when not covering.
You will need to be able:
* Be flexible, able to work on your own initiative as well as follow guidance from teachers.
* Have good behaviour management strategies.
* Have a good standard of spoken and written English.
* Be able to teach whole classes following teachers’ planning.
* Know when to adapt teaching to make it simpler or harder.
* Mark books and provide feedback to the teachers about the outcomes of lessons.
* Liaise with teachers, Middle Leaders, and Senior Leaders regarding learning in the classes taught.
* Provide feedback to parents/carers about behaviour when needed.
Abilities:
* Previous successful experience using information and communication technology to support learning.
* Previous successful experience operating a range of resources and equipment in a learning environment, including videos and photocopiers.
* Ability to absorb and understand a wide range of information concerning the functions of the school.
* Ability to build and form working relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues, working flexibly across professional and operational boundaries as a team member.
* Ability to work on your own initiative, and to prioritise between conflicting demands.
* Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and to develop new skills and learning opportunities.
